Claydon House - Masterclass in Color and Elegance

Claydon House
I know - these pictures are around the Internet for some time. But I'm still in love with them.
Claydon House

The Chinese Room carvings at Claydon House, Buckinghamshire are from the 1760, whereas the Chinese export furniture and statuettes date from the late eighteenth or early nineteenth century. Master Craftsman Luke Lightfoot carved the fabulous woodwork. Sir Ralph Verney (who was married to Florence Nightingale’s sister Frances Parthenope) was a man of great vision and ambition. Building this house pretty much made him bankrupt. The lavish rooms show the handsome wooden carvings which in most grand houses are made from plaster.
