This trend is an expression of glamour combined with a nostalgic, futuristic spaceship aesthetic. Materials are given a high-tech treatment and shapes are innovative and visionary without losing soul and elegance. This theme is clearly avant-garde with a cutting edge approach. The sublime story highlights striking accessories that embody a futuristic and fashion-forward air.
Between blockbuster films like Gravity, Interstellar, and Guardians of the Galaxy, space is very trendy right now. And with all of the developments we had last year about space – the first-ever touchdown of a probe on a comet, the first time dark matter was detected, increasing evidence of life on Mars, an Earth-sized planet that could have life on it – it’s not only exciting: it’s en vogue. Designers are featuring images of space on the catwalk and looking to the literal stars for inspiration.
